Maurice Benayoun: "Frozen feelings." - a 3D, frozen diagram of a web search for the term "insecure" in relation with a countries (places?) name. Its frequency of occurrence resulting in a relief-map of the world, probably done with a computer-controllled milling machine.
The work is a wonderful absurd and ironic statement about our belief in statistics, the manipulation of information, the leadership of the english language - and also the absurdity of creating an object from "pseudo-emotional" data. And finally it is also about art and fetishism, how to consider the dynamic product or representation in itself. Thanks Maurice.
